Hi All,
Gestern gab es ueber den Tag verteilt 5x System Komplett Absturz ... Mit jedem Absturz gab es neue File Corruptions ... Mit jedem Absturz meldete sich der Server mit einer Roten Lampe und System Beeps Beim Letzten Absturz war es dann soweit, das ich den Fehlercode Red LED + 2 beeps auswerten konnte: CPU thermal Sicherheits Shutdown In einem Artikel fand sich der Hinweis mal nach dem Netzteil zu schauen und das auszutauschen ... (auch wenn es noch lief) hatte ich das dann um 21 Uhr gestern Abend dann befolgt. Und siehe da - nach dem Austausch des Netzteils lief die Kiste wieder ohne Unterbrechungen durch. Die CPU Luefter Steuerung zog auch zeitweise hoerbar an. Nach einer Reihe von weiteren Anpassungen der VMs habe ich das System dann um 1 Uhr rebooted und zu einem Chkdsk mehrerer Systemrelevanten Harddisks geschickt. Um 2 Uhr ging die Maschine wieder Online. Seit heut Morgen 6 Uhr laeuft auch die Background Verarbeitung wieder. Btw. angekuendigt hatte sich das Ganze mit einem Ausfall bereits am 5. Mai wo ich morgens den zentralen Server im ausgeschalteten Modus vorfand ...
Yesterday my main system server and VM host frequently crashed. With every crash new file corruptions appeared ... At every crash, the server sends a red light and beep codes At the last crash - I've still researched the beep codes for a HP dc7600 minitower - the server sends me a red LED and 2 times beep code. This translates to a CPU thermal security shutdown. On research I've found an article with the hint to replace the power supply, that I did yesterday evening approx 21:00 The result was - the system runs without further interruptions. The CPU fan results with noisy activity, so the hint did help to reactivate the CPU fan activity and control. After a couple of further maintenance checks I've sent the main server and VM host into boot & chkdsk mode at today morning at 1:00 At 2:00 the system rebooted and started all VMs and the line goes back online. All background activity jobs I've started today in the morning at 6:00 The first occurance of system crash did happen on May 5th. At this time I didn't realized it, that the power supply started the dead walk so it tooks 6 days longer until final identification and replacement All services are now back online
