I see the difference you're trying to establish, but in this case I won't follow. We are in a public area here, anybody can read what is written, Ward is not a director but still owns a prominent enough position. His "joke" was completely out-of-context and unasked for. I agree with you that this all might have been ok in a bar scene as you described above. However, this is neither Ward's bar nor his living room, and I refuse to be turned into a part of that.
