Oh, well, otoh German legal texts tend to be shorter in general in my opinion (at least compared to English ones, no matter if they're from UK or US) as we do not have a habit to spell out each and every thing that is already clear from laws we rely on over and over again. Heck, you guys don't even have a proper constitution to start with (not to mention something like civil law). ;-)
