That can only happen if POTS grows again when VoIP and BinkP is gone. So better try to create connections via 3G/4G/5G then?. Years ago I logged in into my own POTS BBS via a 2G GPRS mobile at 9600 bps when I was at the computerclub in The Hague.nl to get a file from my system in Arnhem.nl at a distance of 120 km. I did not try if FTN Point software worked via that link. Because of the high costs I never thinked about trying it. So FidoNet getting great again is an utopia I think, as POTS is almost gone.
