Of course you could do that, but then you block your phone for other may be more important calls which now get a busy signal to hear. Not a very productive method I think.
My problem is that I am very hard of hearing, so I am not capable of listening to strangers. I only answer my brother whose voice I know for 60 years. Except for another well known friend, all others wil be hanged up by me. It is the oly way of selfprotection of my last little hearing capabilities. Have you ever heard of Hyper Acusis, Tinnitus, Recruitment and Misophonics? The last one is also a kind of Hyper Acusis with special very well known sounds. It is the speed of increasing and decreasing of the volume of the sound that is not matchable, i.e. a gunshot. Or a door slashed by wind etc. That last sound produces 80 dBA, but my defective ear reports it as 100 dBA. The gunshot may be over 140 dBA, i.e. making you deaf immediately. So you can understand that I am phoning very little because of my bad hearing. At places which much noise, i.e. above 80 dBA, I am always wearing hearing protection at my right ear. The left one is deaf since birth in 1956. So the people or computers of M$ will never get me ;-).
