Of course that helps for that particular caller, but in reality it is a waste of time and resources from all sides. You trained one team, but another day you are called by another one or firm. You are not reachable by others during that 2 hours either. So the best way is still hang up as short as possible. Keeping silent is difficult, but often the best strategy that works and stops them calling you, because it is not effective.
