It does not matter, you can strike the the high speeds anyway. In regions where they could be used, they are not longer possible, because there will be a voip trajectory in the connection somewhere.
I regions where the is no voip, the analog system is in such a poor condition, that high speeds are not possible anyway.
I think the call was for missing modem flags, the are internationally defined, but were never implemented in modems of the quality used in Fidonet.
Will Fidonet really die sooner if these modem flags are missing from the epilog of the nodelist, or heaven forbid, removed from the actual nodelist lines.
