Why are you using Wards system as a source of your Echomail. In principle there are only echo's there that ore of interest to the owner.

I think you are make a lot of fuss about nothing.
Ward was in hospital with Covid-19. When he was in a very bad state, his system either crashed or was shutdown by removing the power. Around the time Ward returned home, the plug was put back in and the system became active again. Handling a system so brutaly can cause anything to happen, even the creation of empty message.
Ik think I have seen one, and so have some others.
It has not jet been confirmed what happened to Wards system. The only thing I only thing Ward told me, is that het had not been near it and was going to until he felt sufficiently recovered. So be aware that the system is not maintained and can stop function at its own whim.

Compare your config file with the one that comes default with the package. The latter has lots of comments, of what the options are used for.
I do not know traight from the mind, what you have to change.

There is no need for ssl/tls Binkd can do a MD5 on the password. Look somewhere i the bottem part of the example config.
