Of course nobody knows. But the clock is ticking and not much is happening now. I don't see how the problem of the Irish border can be solved. There must be an EU border somewhere. Either in the Irish Sea or between Northern Ireland and the Republic. And it can not be both visible and invisible at the same time.
It was a mission impossible from the start.
I think cancelling the Brexit is not an option any more either. Time is running out. Another extension after 31 October is unlikely. It would take the fiat of all 27 remaining EU members and several are losing their patience and say "let's get it over with, so that we can move on", even if that means a hard Brexit. A lot of irrepearable damage has already been done anyway.
I don't know how this will end either. But with Boris Johnson te the helm, it does not look good...
