Hello David,

On Friday August 09 2019 16:55, you wrote to me:

That's not what I meant.

Suppose there is another referendum, the people of he UK vote remain and the Brexit is called off. Then what?

Do you think the UK and the EU can just kiss and make up and go on as if nothing had happened?

The underlying points of friction that have poisoned the relationship ever since Margareth Thatcher said "We want our money back" are still there.

So... has the UK learned its lesson and will it from now on be a loyal member of the EU? Will it abolish the Pound and accept the Euro as currency? Will it join the Schengen Agreement? Will it use the metric system for all measurements? Will it lower the mains Voltage from 240 Volt to 230 Volts? Will it accept that in a union like the EU there are net receivers and net conributors, that the poor countries ae net receivers and the rich countries are net contributorrs? Will the UK accept that it is a rich country and therefore is a net conrtibutor? Will the UK pay the contribution without moaning? Or...

... will it be "we want our money back" all over again for the next quarter of a century?

How do you see this?

Cheers, Michiel
