Another thought comes to mind. So far it has always been the UK parliament that was "the bridge too far" in the process of making a deal.
Now suppose the miracle happens: Suppose Boris Johnson reaches a deal before 19 Oct. What happens if Parliament shoots it down again? Does the Benn law apply? Is BJ still bound by law to ask for en extension? He did have a deal didn't he?
