At first the EU was going to decide this Friday. But they have granted themselves an extension. ;-)
Rumour has it that most countries are OK with a three month extension, but France wants a shorter extension unless the UK decides to have elections. So the EU has postponed the decision until after the UK parliamant has decided on elections.
Now we have a possible check mate situation. Labour only wants to agree on elections if it is sure there will be a three month extension of the Brexit deadline. The EU will only give a thee month extension if it is sure there will be elections in december.
