Hello Gerrit,

On Wednesday April 08 2020 15:57, you wrote to me:

We too had severe budget cuts, but as I understand it, we aimed for "more efficiency". Hospitals were clusterd and the small (local) ones only do the baisc services. For complicated things there are specialised big centres. So there are only a hand full of hospitals that for examples do liver transplants. This was considered more "efficient"...

MvdV>> About 100 Dutch IC patients were moved to Germany.

I sure hope you don't...

MvdV>> Indeed, we are just guessing. We need data. But gathering data

Here such a team came with a preliminary result indicating that immunity may not be a yes/no condition like pregnancy. One can not be a little bit pregnant, but it would seem that one can be a little bit immune. People that had only mild symptoms may only be a little bit immune. If this turns out te be the case, that moves us even further away from flock immunity...

MvdV>> Restaurants and barber shops are closed. All events are
MvdV>> cancelled.

GK> No barbers for 1 year or more? Does that sound feasible to you?

No big personal problem for me. Me and my wife Rosa can be each others barber. But I can imagine it is ackward for many. But if that is what it is, it s what it is.

What I miss are the flea markets. Especialy now that the seison for open air flea markets was meant to start. We used to go to such events two or three times a month. All cancelled, probably for the rest of the seison. I will also miss the Tour de France when it is cancelled. It probably wil... :(

GK> Sorry? I can go out any time and do pretty much whatever I like as
GK> long as the 1.5m distance is kept.

OK, so I misunderstood. Problablty confused with other countries were one needs some kind of "Ausweiss" to be allowed on the street.

GK> My kids and my wife are at home, but meanwhile that's also as planned
GK> as the official school holidays are on. One of the interesting
GK> questions for us will be if school will start again after
GK> Easter holidays, or if they all will have to stay home.

We are pensioned and have no children, so we  are at home most of the time anyway. Not all that much difference for us.

Cheers, Michiel
