This soap has been going on for four years now. I really don't see how the remaining hurdles for a deal can be overcome in just 30 days.

I don't think this affects any fidonet sysop. I see several .eu host names in the nodelist, but none seem to be held by UK citizens. But it goes to show that the Brexit will have lots of side effects that were probably unforeseen by many of those concerned.
