It isn't all that complicated. To make changes, I run a batch file that:
1) Calls an UTF-8 capable text editor to change the UTF-8 source segment. 2) Call ERRFLAGS to check for errors. 3) Calls a SED script that translates the UTF-8 source into an ASCII segment. 4) Calls MAKENL to process the UTF-8 segment. 5) Calls MAKENL to process the ASCII segment. 6) Creates a semaphore file REGION28.NOW in the semaphore directory
Then in de daily event at 23:00
1) Check for the presence of REGION28.NOW in the semaphore directory 2) If not present goto 6) 3) delete the semaphore 4) Send the UTF-8 region segment upstream 5) Send the ASCII region segment upstream.
6) Do whatever needs to be done in the daily event.
If you want to sent it every day even if no changes are made, just omit step 6 from the batch file and start the daily event at step 4)
