Here it is painfully obvious that there is a substantial amount of hidden and obfuscated cost. This comes up every year and it annoys the anti monarchists. Oddly enough there is never a majority to actually DO something about it. The popularity of the monarchy is declining but there is no majority to do away with this medival system.
