Ah, licenced libraries... It is not the first time Fidonet fell into that trap. A difference between the Fidonet of 30 years ago and today's Fidonet is that there no longer is a bussines case for Fidonet. Nobody pays for Fidonet software any more because there are plenty of free open source alternatives. As a consequence software using libraries that are subject to licencing is doomed to extinction.
