Yes, England needed an own goal (which would have gone in anyway) and a penalty which wasn't one. But they were the better team. <period> ... live with it.
It's professional sports practiced by guys making scandalous amounts of money for kicking a sybthetic leather ball. Even without advancing, the Danish players each get about 250.000 Euro ... for 5 games ... how long do you take to make that?
Our Belgian Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City makes 480.000 Euro ... every week ... that's just the salary. Then there's sponsor deals, portret rights, etc etc ...
Look Belgium lost against Italy, we can continue to whine about the comedia del arte of the Italians, about during the last 21 minutes only 9 were played, etc ... but the better team still won. There's no dishonour of losing from a better opponent.
You know, I would've thoroughly liked it if Schmeichel would have stopped that penalty ... but he didn't ... face it ... best team won.
