There is the remote possibility, unlikely but nevertheless, there was a technical mishap as the plane hadn't been serviced by Embraer for over 4 years. And right before the flight the flight attendant called home saying they were doing some weird repairs before take-off.
On the other hand, in 20 years there has been only one Legacy incident ... a mid-air over the Amazon with a Gol 737-800 ... the Legacy survived. Embraer makes good planes.
