Actually, Belgium indeed was invented as a demilitarized zone between France and the Netherlands after the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 ... about which a popular Viking band once sang a song and won the the Eurovision song contest. Meaning ... the success of ABBA also is rooted in Belgium.
