The news has been announced in the R24 sysop-echo that Bob Bashe passed away last Saturday Dec.1st.

I'm shocked by this. His health had deteriorated badly the last couple of months but nevertheless we had made plans for one last DattelnCon of which there had been 5 or 6 since Dec.30th 2008.

At his place I met another ZC, RC50, RC24, so many people with whom finally it was possible to associate the words with a face. There was a video-link with Bjorn who played ABBA records ... there was beer, there was coca cola, there was food and an incredible camaraderie ...

I will truly miss him.
