My grandmother's brother was killed Apr.8th 1915 and went missing in action. 60 years later she was still talking about him as if he had walked out of the door yesterday. It mattered to her, I saw her tears ... so it matters to me.
And I think it should matter to all reading the ridiculous epitaphs on graves that they died heroically for the fatherland ... heck, none wanted to die ... let's not make the same mistakes again.

Did Russia lose 1.3 million people in the war solely or was that related to the revolution?
Besides, you can also take credit for frying the first man in space without that knowledge .... Komarov's Soyuz 1 capsule crashed into the ground at 30-40 metres per second. His remains were an irregular lump 30 centimetres in diameter and 80 centimetres long.
