There are 2,432 children in primary education, of which eighteen are in special needs.
In secondary education, 1,535 students are enrolled, 11 of whom are in special classes and 1,360 in Okan classes (meaning special language assistance). This is apparent from recent figures from the Flemish Education Minister today.
There will also be summer schools especially for children and young people from Ukraine in July and August. They will focus extra on reading skills, Dutch language acquisition, academic knowledge and skills.
The organization is in the hands of a school or a local government. Participation is voluntary and free of charge.
Flanders provides 45 euros per child per day.
There are zero-problems with youngsters and many of the adults immediately started looking for employment as they want to be self providing and not depending on welfare ...
