Easy to explain ... "property is theft". Because one day it belonged to no-one, hence how could it after a while belong to someone, anyone, other than via pillaging and theft?
Of old there was a huge distance between the nobles living in luxury and the commoners needing to scrape their daily living from poor soil and pay rent and taxes for it.
The only way to make some mpney for the commoners was to become a soldier for a nobleman or a king. If you survived the next battle, you had money. If you didn't survive the widow needed to seek another husband because there was no social security.
So when the king went to war ... oh well, the king nearly never went to war, he just put the money up the rent himself an army... mercenaries and they went off to a jolly good fight. If they won that was OK for the king. If they lost ... well ... a few months later or a year later you just rented a new army ... you know, some fathers got killed and now sons needed to feed families but they had insufficient funds. So they enlisted in the King's army hoping to survive and there'd be another battle.
The possibility for the king (or whichever nobleman) to wage war did not only depend from his financial resources, but to a large extent also having enough poor people around that were unable to make ends meet ... make certain the people were poor enough and had no way out ... it lasted for centuries ...
And it stll does today.
