Lately maritime police is checking yachts with a suspected destination UK.
They have aquired pretty fast sea-going boats and any vessel on a westerly course giving the intention not to return for the night will be trapped, stopped and boarded. A bit like the spot-checks of highway police.
Several yachts with illegal immigrants destined for the UK have been stopped.
