I think you are mistaken here.
BA and others are happily taking reservations, and the traveler's money, for flights UK <-> Europe "after" October 31st. [also KLM]
Please remember that "most" European air transport companies operating trans-oceanic services are overflying the UK and are handled from the oceanic controller at Prestwick. These things are regulated at ICAO-level otherwise aviation, one of the key driving factors behind world trade, collapses.
