You are right, but i knew that. Coming back to fidonet was pure nostalgia for me. I know, that there are alternatives, but i preferred using my own software i've developed long time ago and that i was able to update to current needs. Had to do something while i was in lockdown in 2020, so this was a cool project.
My software was never thought to be commercial, but the libraries were. Noone except me uses them, and probably noone would really care about, but a contract is a contract. I'm not messing around with the buyers of my companies for such peanuts.
However, this explains why Alisha had to rebuild all using alternative software prior to the 2:301/1 migration towards her system. It was better anyway, so there are updates and bugfixes, and it's open source.
