It's only my opinion but I see a lot of the AngloAmerican way of life in the statements above.
Maximising profits at any cost was, is and will be the leitmotif of the angloamerican philosophy, and it's sad to say it has won on over the entire world.
Also in Italy where the leading class thinks only to satisfy the shareholder appetite, voiding all the old real reasons that drove the entrepreneurs to do their work like "proud of the product produced" or "dignity" or "produce welfare for all".
BTW, if this behaviour would'nt change I see a dark age in front of the humanity.
