I think there is something behind. Only number we can rely (in my country) is who was hospitalized. There we can also trust who was tested there during that time - and we can also measure death ratio.
Who was tested (in total): no stats who was tested many times (more than once).
Actual amount of infected: also unknown. I think, this number is not increasing in linear (like in examples of that thread) but also exponencial. I mean actual ratio who need hospital against total amount of infected is also ging down.
There is idea to start random tests (whole town, etc.) This can help. But needs to be done not only once during time.
