KK>> OK. Talking about Fashion there. Tarifs - you mean customs. MV> I mean taxes. Import taxes.
OK. I am not specialist for that area, I am just an IT (in logistics). But I am nearly sure that there are no taxes (VAT etc.) for goods in transit (bonded warehouse).
MV> If these goods come through the UK, import taxes will be levied twice. MV> Once when entering ttge UK, once when entering the EU. That affects MV> the bussines model.
OK. There are "horizontal movements", but these are expensive and - fashion/style is different e.g. in Spain and UK (not only sizes ;-)
I mean, why to touch goods 2-3 times more than is necessary?
MV> I hope you are right, but real life experience tell me that there are MV> always surprises.
OK. You are probably right. I just wanted to say, that time changed since how many? 10 years? Invoices, documents, customs, taxes - everything is electronic, Bonded/nonbonded warehouses, hazardous goods, consignment stock, etc. - is daily business of logistics companies.
One example, different segment, goods to Spain. OK, easy. But there is part like Canary Islands. Wiki says is part of EU with "some exceptions". It was about few connections/interfaces more and proper invoice handling...
I understand. There are services sold between countries. Specific goods as well. But most of retail I would say is comming from non EU since long time ago. And growing ecom is even more and more smooth.
