Everybody has common sense since childhood what is good and what is bad (OK, except broken people). "Fair" I understand more good than bad. And that is - as simple as it is.
You give Bangladesh children work? -> OK, looks good. -> Can they comfortably live in their country, no acid at working place, etc? -> No x Yes. No = it is not fair. Yes = respect to you.
I know "fast fashion" very well. These guys, they desperately need 1000% profit. They can not live without it - even if 20% will be still good. That child now need to make 120 trousers per day - to have money just for food. In case that its salary is increased just by 20% - will be perfect. But, never happen... (there are hundereds waiting for their jobs...)
My personal opinion is that it is linked with moral quality of people which is going down against technology which is more and more advanced. All together is making anything "fair" rare.
