In Russian language "nazi" which we use mostly as "fashist/фашист" (fascist), because no one cares about the difference, is used mostly like "he is a very bad guy". During Soviet time even Israel was called a "nazi state" on TV and so on.
Grandfather of my wife is still alive, he fought from 1941 till 1945, saw some terrible things on both sides and he is from Ukraine (but Russian), now he lives in Moscow. He never called ukranians "nazis".
