What could be new in just operating a Fidonet node?

People normally start as points for getting used to Fidonet technologies and software. Once they do, they apply for a node addresses. Once they have some experience operating their own nodes smoothly (that means, no unreachability during the "night from Friday to Monday"; look for "smooth operation" in FPD: this phrase appears 5 times there), they could serve as network hubs or even pretend to become the NC and operate the network host.
Being literally translated from Russian, that's called "the learning" here in R50, and allows us to keep the largest region alive and operational. Highly recommended :-)
