Some Z1 RCs do connect here via POTS when necessary, that is true and convenient if they have both FoIP and POTS. The problem is that should my own FoIP go down because of problems with my ISP, then normally the POTS line is also affected (not functional). I have to use my cell phone to call my ISP and complain about it :)
