CS> What is your vision for the future of the FTSC?
I believe that the FTSC needs to continue its work documenting existing standards. There are several BinkP options that are not fully documented at this time. An example would be the ND and NDA options.
CS> What do you want the members to be more proactive at?
It seems that it takes a very long time to get anything done. It shouldn't take a year or more for a FidoNet Standards Proposal to be reviewed and adopted as a standard or filed in the reference library.
CS> How aware are you of the differences among other regions or zones?
There have been differences between Zones for as long as the Zones have existed. Back in the POTS era, they were primarily driven by the differences in how the local telephone providers (be they for profit companies, the government monopoly, or whatever) worked. Here in the US, most if not all telephone companies offer free local calling and incoming calls. Overseas, this is often not the case. Points were much more popular in Europe than they ever were in the US and Canada.
I believe that the FTSC needs input from all Zones as far as any local differences. This is why the ZCs were made invited guests previously, and I think that practice should continue.
