I don't find it "sad", just "reality". I have no option to get/use IPv6 here where I live. It's not offered by any ISP that I know of.

Well, it's not actually *needed*, is it? Fidonet is working just fine here on IPv4, just as it always has.
Most people (including me) don't care. When the v4's run out, things will be different. For now..... it's not needed.
